We are working on giving this estate a new face lift. More updates will be communicated in the next quarter as regards to this.

Engineering drawings necessary for the layout approval of the remaining 5 hectares was secured within the quarter. The Consultant processing the approved layout as assured that it should be out before the year is over.

Sand filling and compaction of foundation for part of the perimeter fence to be reconstructed

Efforts are ongoing to source for funds for the completion of a portion of the paved road, Gate House, water reticulation and electricity supply to make the existing block livable.

We are hopefully that success will be achieved in that regard in the new quarter.

SCHOOL OF ESTATE

During the third quarter, the School of Estate and business had her 51st session of the Real Estate and Business Course (REBC) on the Island; Lekki phase 1 to be precise. It was indeed an awesome gathering encompassed with unforgettable memories around the business and real estate world.

The session was massively loaded with the acquisition of new knowledge and grand exposure of the real estate business.

The session commenced on the 19th of July, 2022 with seven (7) intellectual facilitators who explicitly uncovered the ‘’Nitty-gritties of real estate".

The key areas of discourse encircled property development, property sales, real estate law and documentations, profitable investments in the real estate horizon.

It was also an eye-opener to international real estate investments, property management skills, negotiation skills in real estate business, real estate technologies, importance of real estate business strategy, strategies to be implemented in real estate as well as the risk involved in the business,

The 51st session class cannot be underrated as responses from participants are overwhelming.

School of Estate and Business (SOEB) is indeed the best avenue to equip oneself with a broad knowledge of real estate business in today’s world. There is more to be said about the third quarter of the Real Estate and Business Course and the participants as deponents of this program are elated and continues to seek opportunity to delve more into their specific areas of interest as exposed by the program – (i.e. internship).

The Affordable Mass Housing Provision N3trillion Pension Boost

The Pension Reform Act 2014 has provision for house ownership. Section 89(2) of the Act provides that “Notwithstanding the provision of sub-section (1)(c) of this section, a Pension Fund Administrator may, subject to guidelines issued by the Commission, apply a percentage of the pension assets in the retirement savings account towards payment of equity contribution for payment of residential mortgage by the holder of Retirement Savings Account”.
